Hello! I am Philip Jacobson, owner and CEO of Momenta kids.
I am an Australian father of three who has loved Japan since arriving here 25 years ago.
As an educator in Japan I discovered the power of immersive learning 15 years ago. I truly believe that “experience is everything” and that children learn best through doing rather than in with textbooks.
It became my goal to create an authentic camp environment that could not only foster hands on learning but also an understanding of both Japanese and western cultures.
Our Summer Camp is an ideal way for youth to learn not only about other people but also about themselves. At camp, it is the responsibility of each child to take care of their own belongings, clean their rooms and also help out with the upkeep of the camp grounds. In this way summer camp can help to foster leadership skills, a sense of responsibility and self-reliance.
Other practical skills including presentations, team work and learning languages can also be developed at this camp.
Momenta Kids has provided camps for 1000's of children over the course of 15 years in operation. Fun filled, safe and totally worthwhile! I hope to see you there.

At Momenta Kids we have our Standard Summer Camp and Summit Ambassador Course which both span 5 days. The camps are overnight stays and packed with activities that challenge the participants in various ways while encouraging cultural exchange and promoting both cooperation and independence.
